Fast delivery and the shrimps were healthy. Thanks for the tons of freebies!

The Amanos arrived alive and healthy. They are great escape artists, so for the first night I lowered the water level since I noticed they were skittish, even after drip acclimatizing them (a couple was trying to climb out the tank, 1 was successful). Might be because I still have a bit of nitrates in the water after cycling for 2 weeks (my tap water apparently has nitrates so water changes don’t change much, so I used purified water). I stuck more plants into the tank to help with the nitrates. pH, GH and KH are at acceptable levels. Now they’re pretty much at home.

My amanos are alive and settled in pretty quickly in my tank along with my betta fish. At first they were skittish but in just a few hours, they were checking everything out and cleaning up the substrate and plants.

The two critters are in good shape and adjusted well in my betta tank. My betta seems to have a good temperament that he tries to chase it once in a while like wanting to play but most of the time just let them do their thing.
